Re: Sensitive information

I never really cared for the secret society aspect personally. You can walk into a hunting ground and see someone harvesting souls, or hear over pendant people talking about harvesting. Not to mention the spectral guards in Mistral lake.

Thanks

Wanted to share my appreciation for the game and staff. I was in a real rough spot rl when I came back around again. Grinding and rping helped me focus and pull myself out of that place. Now I just have to be careful not to get re-addicted to clok and neglect rl like I have in the past. I may be a b...

Re: Dissipation inconsistencies, and a compromise

Sounds like all the duration spells are multi channel. So why not just make hydro only drench with 2 or more hydromancy channels?

Re: Guest login rebuild

I may be thinking of another game but I'm near certain it was clok. Maybe it was a resetting login. I remember the user was give a generic name like 'a traveler' and the players would be excited and helpful to the new player. I actually used the login myself to get a feel for travel and hunger becau...

Re: Guest login rebuild

Maybe guest is the wrong term. It was something like a traveler or peasant or something. I remember when the Salamander caves were added a player talking about using the login to go explore there.

Skill cap 'area' and free for all area

Maybe to complex, or to much demand given the current workload on staff but.... Why not have an area of the game capped at 2500, that area is where all the events and major storyline takes place. Then have a separate area where you can pass the cap and climb unlimited, the moment you cross back thou...

Guest login rebuild

When I started clok all those years ago the guest login, wandering around and picking herbs was my first taste and an easy way to 'try before you buy' of char gen. I think it was stripped out because players would use it to scout dangerous areas the didn't want their main getting killed in. I think ...

Gold and silver?

I want it but asking around noone knows (or says) where to find it. I'm also skeptical that if/where it can be mined is probably loaded with nasty beasts that can mangle an armorless miners.

I suspect there isn't much demand or profit in tin and zinc jewelry.

Re: Personal thoughts on the Wyrvardn

This is Lassyn's domain and I don't envy the task of sorting this out. I think Wyr should focus on the mass and apparent threats while avoiding personal quarrels. Protecting the weak from evil and oppression. The Gaia I'd categorize under 'personal'. I think Teek is looking for more structure to app...

Re: The Bandit Fort Crusade!

Teek, you're passionate about the game which is admirable; but that passion mixed with frustration and disappointment is manifesting in a negative fashion. I would advise letting some things slide and not take some things so personally. You know what I think? People don't like Teek Do you mean chara...

Re: Personal thoughts on the Wyrvardn

In some tabletop games factions/guilds/groups are further broken down into smaller camps. Each camp has it's own thoughts/agenda and methods of reaching their goals. I feel forming your own camp of like minded Wyrvardin would be better than imposing upon the entire group.

Thanks for trying, Teek. Getting people on board can be a challenge even in the best of circumstances. I know you meant well and applaud the intent. There are some factors that complicated this endeavor though. Please take this as constructive criticism from someone who encourages you to try again i...

Re: The (nonexistance of) Lore Surrounding the Immortals

Interesting and a I applaud the intention to flesh out the game world. It wouldn't fit well here in my experience. Rias always had strict concepts to things and wouldn't tolerate variation to the parameters. It could be a different story with Jirato leading things now.

Re: Mining Overhaul?

Really like the ideas coming out. I understand no promises set in stone but it's great to know gears are turning. Though it could also take a five person team over a day to dig a shaft, depending on how active they are. What if the game goes through a slow phase of low players though? Another concer...

Re: Mining Overhaul?

No objections to the current model being amazingly over powered. But what do player mines hold in the future? I have to say I really loved the teamwork and coordination coming out of Gad's mine in particular when it came to coordinating digging out and maintaining the shafts. Just random thoughts ou...

But nobody should go into any situation thinking they should be immune from any loss and guaranteed a win, like they've suffered their loss quota and now they are guaranteed to win. That's unrealistic. That's a bit of an exaggeration compared to Teek's post. I think you over analyze, or have a pote...
