Haft-frog creation would be super nifty, when possible. :)

Re: Character Voice!

I definitely think that my characters aren't fully fleshed out until I get how they speak and what they sound like. For example
- Jasan's 'Jolly good'
- Rakar's 'yes' and 'I am mighty' whenever he doesn't know what to say.
- Ketran's quiet voice
- Bartan's 'sweet soulstice.'

Painting items other than arrows?

Is it possible to paint completed flatbows, rudises, staves, carvings, etc? Could be an interesting addition.

Hi! As the owner of the old pumpkins, I can speak to that.
If you have new ones that are grown, it should be fine. :)

Both of these look amazing. Thanks Kiyaani and GMs. I'll do my best to be available for either/both. :)

Leather armor is already standardized weight. Cosmetic leather items and clothing are on the list. Not really a priority at this time.
Thank you so much for the quick reply!

Re: Item Weights

I see on the Trello that there's a clothing standardization in the works. Is this going to effect the armor and leatherworking as well? I know that the GMs have a lot of things going around. A lot of the events and updates recently have been amazing -- it's been a great time for CLOK. But, is it pos...

Re: New professions?

Some sort of farm theft prevention would be great. Makes that more desireable. Making new generalized abilities for woodworking and adding an extra GA point so we have twenty? Also, in wooden objects, can we get the wood type in the item name? So instead of "an exquisite quarterstaff" we see "an exq...

Staves: type of wood in weapon name?

Other wooden weapons have the type of wood in the name: an exquisite ebonwood rudis.
But staves and quarterstaves don't: an exquisite staff.
Is it possible to upgrade the staves/quarterstaves to display the type of wood?

Re: Briarwood Equestrian

I love love love this. Great work on it! :) Is it possible to buy a horse weapons harness? I'd ideally love to see it where other players can't take from it (the horse wouldn't get close enough to let them), but can assume that's probably a pain in the rump to code. At the very least not while horse...

Thanks for the heads up, J! Good luck with the project!
Should we assume that nothing will happen with the Brierwood stuff until after the break?

Re: Pets!

The dog owner in me looooooves this idea. Mostly because I want to get a little foofoo lapdog and name it Shar. The CLOK lore fan of me doesn't see it really happening. The lost lands are DANGEROUS. I feel like pcs wandering around with dogs and cats... they'd basically get eaten the second they lea...

The little events are always the highlight of my day. I also like the idea above re: having more people effected by ic actions that we now have to deal with. More bandits now that it's warmer. More refugees from Westbrook.

Serious props to you, Z, for bringing this up. CLOK is in a huge revitalization mode right now which is fantastic, but we need to get our mentor hats out of the closet and sport those puppies proudly. On a me level (know you're not calling me out, but there you have it), I'm very sorry for not rping...

Re: New Ability: Eavesdrop

I think overhearing whispers is a great idea. I, however, don't really like the idea of it being used in the wilderness. I know we've heard several times (gms, weigh in?) that wilderness "rooms" are leagues apart. If someone can't even hear a whisper near-by, can they really hear a conversation at a...

Re: Gripe about Town boards

Truthfully I don't see the problem with the use of the boards currently. People are disagreeing, and it's up to the cities (the gms) to limit spam and other components. I know players that have engaged in spamming behavior have been warned ooc and ic before. I see no reason to assume why it would be...

Makes sense that they'd have a pretty big sphere of influence and access; I mean, Chapter House is one of the largest non-city structures around.

Re: Wars and rumors of wars (OPEN FORUM!)

Jaster... part of rp, part of LIFE is misunderstanding. We're not going to know why characters do what they're going to do. And, if we did, it wouldn't be fun. If small subsets of the population go around saying that "oh I don't know why you did this, so it's ooc-fueled," then that's their problem. ...

Re: Wars and rumors of wars (OPEN FORUM!)

I'm really curious re: your intended goal. Let's use Vaylon, since he's the example that commonly comes up. Do you expect anyone who has acted rudely against him ic to explain now ooc (and ic) why they did it? That call for openness is voluntary, and the position that the choice is between disclosur...

Re: Wars and rumors of wars (OPEN FORUM!)

Jaster. I'll put it more simply. Talking about problems is fine; talking about them here does no good what so ever. Nice analogy, but you didn't change my mind. Using vague statements of rong doing puts ghosts in the water. Whether they're true or not (inclined to think not) is irrelevant; now peopl...

Re: Wars and rumors of wars (OPEN FORUM!)

Statements like "a few of us" "some of us" have no basis without backing it up. The faceless mob isn't persuasive. If you feel like gms are treating guilds poorly, talk TO THE GMS ABOUT IT, not other players, because we can't fix it. Be prepared to say what, how, and when was done to make you feel l...

Re: Roleplay-Related Questions on Characters

I have characters IC who do not like Vaylon. They feel that he is sleezy and untrustworthy. They have heard rumors about him and, in combination with opinions, feel them to be true (just like Dorn talked about). That's not based on ooc -- it's based on IC. Vaylon, you have a series of questions to a...

Re: Wars and rumors of wars (OPEN FORUM!)

A few things: Thieves aren't designed to be everyones' best friend -- Coanid hit it right. It's always going to be he said-she said. Someone whos' guild is based on stealing from others shouldn't expect to be universaly liked. I don't know of any groups intentionally trying to screw someone over for...
