Shapeshifting seems like a highly lore-conflicting idea and most certainly wouldn't give access to elemancy. The idea for a battle trance ability is alright, but doesn't really seem like it'd fit in most guilds. The last one is more or less something closer to what a Rook might be able to accomplish...

They should probably take the weather into account regardless. Yeah. Winter should lock some tasks or make those tasks much less prevalent and maybe less strenuous but also less rewarding. You can't exactly kill a bunch of things in the Tarueka Environs during Winter, for example, so why not cut it...

It's not? That seems erroneous. If it's cold around the town, it should be cold on the deck.

But yeah, scaling tasks to be harder later on is better because by then people have a better grasp of the game and are more likely to be "out there" socially and have friends to help them.

Can we get a brief line in effects that says "You feel drunk." or something similar then? I usually tell by speech or what kind of alcohol the character just drank.

I don't think RPAs HAVE a duration. They're based on skill gain, last I recall.

The depart reduction to your current skills does have a duration, but the learning penalty is not time-based at all. It will stay until you work it off as far as I've seen, kind of like a reverse RPA.

Honestly this is something I think would be neat and it'd be fun if it were a more vague duration descriptor instead of exact length in seconds. Why not make it at least tell you a different message based on how drunk you are? There are other things that don't show up in "effects" that may be necess...
