Re: Animation Storage Options

As to animate training... that is sort of a gray area and I think there was never an intent for minions to level up over time. But right now it is not considered a cheat so unless you want it to be 'looked at', I would suggest just keeping it away from our gaze. If minion training is removed, I wou...

Re: Lore Question: Dwaedn Wyr outside of the quarantine?

I would assume the Dwaedn Wyr are widespread due to their druidic practices originating from the Faewyr. They are, after all, druidic warriors and do use a form of druidic magic, though it is a separate form of druidry from the stuff you'd seen the Lorekeepers and Udemi using. An Udemi will never le...

I thought there was one other that had a misplaced bandage item when it's only one color. Maybe I'm thinking of somewhere else. I'll make a note to check around.

Haiban might be the same, actually. This is why I "list" before ordering the number, though, and can agree it'd be nice to have them uniform.

Animation Storage Options

Hello all, it's your friendly neighborhood Marauder. So, I was thinking on Rooks and the pros and cons of amalgamated familiars compared to animated corpses and I had a thought. Why don't we have a lore-friendly method to put our animated minion into cryogenic stasis? It could be a new ability to al...

Re: Consolidated Wyrvardn ability suggestion thread

Hi. Like my suggestion for armor training for the Mercs, it could be energy reduction when using heavy armor. Alternatively, better fittings when one dons their set on their own (many medieval armors had at least one person putting it on for you when available, such as squires), which could translat...

Re: Greathelms and Perception

I wouldn't mind it being tied into armor use, honestly, even if it capped at a specific reduction amount. Armor use is easy enough to train due to it being gained by doing pretty much anything in armor combat-wise, even dodging and taking hits, I believe. Granted, you do need several hundred of it t...

This is truth. Eyepatches are powerful objects indeed. Far more powerful than any greathelm, certainly, for they offer naught in the way of nerf!

Greathelms and Perception

The nerf that closed helms present to perception is far too much for something that does not plug your ears and generally has enough gaps to allow casual conversation in. The holes on the front below the eye slits are intentional for ventilation and would allow sound waves in frontally. The shape al...

Re: Being a Better Person

Honestly I say a lot of nonsensical things as jokes too, but I also feel that if someone takes it the wrong way, they should express that to me themselves and ask me to stop with that line. All it takes is a tell to me saying something like, "Hey, I'm insulted by that comment you just made, can you ...

Re: Why doesn't the brawler guild have...

I actually really, really like the idea of sparring gloves, but I think that Jirato's right in that they should disable combos, otherwise you'd have people kicking, elbowing and kneeing each other to death by accident. What could be a good compromise is to make them kind of like bear paws in the sen...

Why doesn't the brawler guild have...

...some kind of fist weapon that doesn't count as armor? It doesn't even have to be something lethal like brass knuckles or katars or bear paws. Weighted-knuckle gloves exist and could very easily exist in the current setting, even if they might be more noticeable than modern ones. They're essential...

Enhanced Grappling: Wrasslin' Edition

So I had an idea to buff the grapple command for Brotherhood of the Fist members. Basically just add a static 0.75 or 1 to the grappling bonus multiplier so the Brofist can choose to attempt a grapple whenever rather than requiring stealth or a stunned and wounded enemy. You could also add in a coup...

Mercenary Ability Suggestions

So, I've been playing a Mercenary off and on and I've noticed that Coup de Mort is typically hard to land even when your opponent has multiple severe level wounds and is at exhausted stamina and that Adrenaline Rush, while its buff is powerful, pales in comparison to Victory Rush in two ways. To giv...

How do you feel about a Discord server?

If none of the gurus have any idea on how to use Discord servers, I could easily set one up and transfer control to whoever among you wants to be the server administrator. Of course, you can also set roles which can give other people admin powers as well, so you can have multiple gurus holding the r...

Re: What would you like to see?

Bring back the traveling merchants with reasonably priced limited edition items. Stuff like the ring that one of my characters has that's a +1% buff to channeling, or the old executioner's sword he has. It doesn't have to be anything mechanically powerful, just needs to feel unique and special enoug...

Re: Request: Bandaging in the dark

I honestly don't think this should be a thing unless you're bandaging yourself, in which case lack of vision should reduce your first aid rolls. Simply put, unless you're a god-like Mummer with some special privileges (painsensing is something I doubt will be a thing anyway), you cannot tell where a...

Lore Question Regarding Elemental Manipulation

So, I had a question earlier. Can an Elemancer manipulate pre-existing materials? For example, would it be possible for a skilled Hydromancer to stand in a stream and cause small geysers with some concentration? The element would obviously be in physical contact and they'd have to be capable of chan...

Re: "bandage me" Issue

It may be just me in that I go to healers after bandaging up my character when heavily injured and the bandages sort of 'stack' ontop of eachother (the healer NPC can override my bandaging), even if I only stay there for roughly five seconds when it'd take eighteen to get fully bandaged, the NPC tar...

Re: "bandage me" Issue

I've bandaged moderate injuries just fine by targeting them, though. Maybe that's the bug, then.

"bandage me" Issue

When you use the command bandage me with an open container with available bandages, a free hand and some sort of injury, it will usually bandage the first applicable injury on you. However, I've noticed that it doesn't seem to work on "moderately wounded" injuries, it ignores them entirely and acts ...

CLOK Chat Miniwindows for MUSHClient

https://i.gyazo.com/91b5cc601e765e377466b3d81d4d35bd.png So I decided to modify a plugin I found a long while back that I used for another MUD. A possible CLOK ripoff in progress. This disturbs me.

Not sure where to post this, otherwise, but, uh. Someone may be attempting to steal CLOK as a game, or already has the code base somehow. I'll start from the moment I accidentally found it. I was on the MUDConnector, just browsing around as I usually do. Then I noticed a new MUD with what seemed to ...
