Elemental aid

Postby Rias » Tue Sep 27, 2011 10:03 am

Elemancy can now be used to aid people, utilizing its helpful effects. For example: If someone is drenched, prep aeromancy and aid [target] to dry them off. This way you won't have to overcome their dodge/block defense in order to help them.

So far:

Aeromancy: Dry off drenched people. (Maybe this can blast off mud as well, and leave them dirty.)

Hydromancy: Wash off mud, extinguish people on fire.

Pyromancy: Melt the ice encasing frozen people.

Further suggestions welcome.

I laugh.Although sorcerery should simply remove light based damage over time /afflictions.Then it would be aid rather than another weapon.

Geomancy: Anchor people to the ground to resist involuntary movements like being swept away by floods, a blast of air etc.

That would also root them in place, which I think would be considered a bad thing.

hmm.Maybe something like...removing hunger.Geomancy manipulates earth which could bring forth food.Or it could be used in mines to reduce the chance of cave ins.

Maybe it could remove dust from your eyes and remove the effects of dirtkick/sandstorm semi-blinding? And maybe dirtiness/mudiness as well.

hmm.Dirtiness maybe. Not muddiness.Sand baths. They wouldn't be able to remove muddiness. The mud would just dry on the person and the water in mud would mean that it would simply replace mud with being drenched.

Can we have hydromancy aid be able to remove the drenched effect?

How would you propose that actually work?

Right now, channeling aeromancy and aiding oneself will dry you off quite nicely.

Hydromancy is the manipulation of water, so manipulate the water off the surface of the target. Pretty simple. If elemancy somehow requires initially conjuring the element, then conjure some water, run it over the surface of the target where the conjured water "bonds" with the the water on the person, then move all the water away form them. Referencing the magic metaphysics guide regarding elements bonding to each other on contact, and water being the most likely to do so. I assume therefore that conjured water bonding with other water it contacts is extremely common.

Does that mean that aeromancy aid could delay the effects of poison gas? =O

Aid is an instant short-term effect. Delaying poison gas would require something constant, like a maintained aero shield.
