I think Louis Armstrong - What a Wonderful world may be a great fit for Sona. Not quite a match for her upbeat personality, but the message fits IMO.

We recently moved to TX, to a neighborhood filled with magnolias which are in full bloom right now. A run through the streets inspired me to listen to this, and I realized it's Solaje's theme song! The minor key and morbidity suit her, not that many people know her well IC... Anyway, fun thread!

(And Solaje doesn't have race issues... I just meant the feel of the song fit her character)

Sorry, gotta necro my own thread since all the other character-related threads are getting so much traffic lately.

Arcangelo's theme song would be the song that inspired me to create him. It gave me a simple idea for a backstory, which I expanded and built upon until it became what it is.

This isn't a theme song for a character, but more the theme song to any serious, combat-focused event that requires a lot of players to team up: https://youtu.be/CW9A0Q7rUqw

This is probably as good as it will get for a Dorn theme song.

You overhear the bartender exclaim to a patron, "What do you mean, you just want water?! Fine, fine ... but you'd better at least buy something to eat."

Here comes Artus' theme song!

He likes nature. He loves travelling. He has a home but never consider it the proper home. He also carries all sadness of his lost Fasa group, being the last one alive.

So since I've posted here, Maric has changed a bit, in attitude if not in intent or goals and I feel a new song to represent him is in order. So as Maric comes closer and closer to loosing the Berserker inside, just hear this, and hope his gentle heart wins out against his savage soul.

Music:

Aleari always reminds me of clear simple, calming music. When doing ritual work, I usually have a Heather dale pandora station ongoing, which gives artists like Celtic Woman, Lord of the Rings, even some Peter Hollens. I'm doing a few pagan songs in voice lessons to capture that spirit a bit more closely in vocal work, which has been quite fun.

Morgania: I'm still figuring out her personality a bit, but songs like Snuff out the Light (Yzma's song) from the emperor's new Groove have a lot of it, especially the first actual verse and the ending chant. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=374xW4zZbZA Most of the time when I'm writing her, I have a Voltaire pandora station ongoing. Dark, theatrical, and more than a little creepy tends to be right up her alley. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79fRfwWGdNk I also really like thinking about nether constructs in a similar way to the way some modern thinkers consider AI, so songs with a steampunk bent are also useful. Steampowered Giraffe are my go-to for that.

Lysolda: Lysolda is one of the few characters I don't tend to play special music for. Her personality is really so focused and formal that she is almost more confused by music than anything else. Epic, drum-heavy instrumental music would work well for her. Maybe the Gladiator soundtrack for example.
