Practice Weapons

Postby Rithiel » Sat Sep 03, 2011 9:43 pm

The first (of many, hopefully) practice weapon is available as something crafted from medium branches. You can CARVE SWORD to attempt to make a wooden rudis.

You can practice your sword skill against live opponents, doing much less damage to them than with a real weapon. It's accuracy will be partially based on the carvers ability to carve.

Daggers can now be carved, too.

Question: Is this still in effect? Rudis rolls are increased by woodcarving?

Yes, the better carved it is the better.

If you want to do minimal damage as I would think one would in most situations where a carved weapon is being used, shoot for lower quality.

Oh! I thought the post meant that your woodcarving skill would influence your rolls when wielding a Rudis
