Postal workers will no longer tell you that you need to change your mail delivery location when it is already correct.

It is now possible to make crab chowder with crab meat, potato, onion, cream, and stock or water.

Chilies now correctly function as cooking spices.

It is now possible to wear vest slot items over dresses.

Shirt and dress slot items will now be identified as being covered by a vest slot item if one is worn.

Robe slot items will now conceal vests, shirts, dresses, pants, skirts, and leggings.

Loincloths will now be completely concealed by items worn in the pants, leggings, skirt, dress, or greaves slots.

Items in the robe, pants, leggings, dress, skirt, or loincloth slots will now appear to be bound, cinched, or wrapped by a worn belt.

Tabards will now cover vests but show the shirts underneath.

Tabards may no longer be worn with dresses.

Items in the vest, shirt, and dress slot will now appear to be worn underneath items in the coat slot.

Beltworn items will now show as being attached to a belt.

Cloaks will now appear to be draped over torso worn items.

Rings will now be concealed by glove slot items.

A new wear slot for sweaters has been added that fully conceals shirts, but cannot be worn with vests, tabards, robes, dresses, or armor.

Knee-boots will now properly cover socks.

Bracelet slot items will now be concealed by shirts being identified as having long sleeves.

Anklet slot items will now be concealed by pants or greaves slot items.

Hairbobs (hair-worn accessories that may altar your hair style) are functional again. If you were previously wearing a hairbob while the conversion to the new inventory system took place, it should be recovered automatically upon login. Existing hairbobs in storage will be updated upon first use.

Retrieving items from inn storage should be working properly again.

The "Tips for Beginners" link given by the help command has been updated.

Putting bloodglass into a furnace will now destroy the item. Bloodsand can still be smelted as normal.

Some loopholes that allowed bloodglass to be repaired have been fixed.

Soul Retrieval now requires the character's soul to join the retrieving familiar rather than depart.

New speech options: continue, warn

It is no longer possible to copy something in a language you don't understand.

Copying something in a specific language will no longer automatically translate it to common. This was never intended and was considered an exploitable bug, we'd appreciate it if anyone who learned information in this manner not act on it ICly.

It is now possible to heave certain draggable and ungettable items such as furniture even if they're considered "lightweight".

Belt quivers will no longer be automatically converted to the shoulder wear slot, and should instead be converted to the beltworn slot.

The Shadgard Graveyard and Burial Grounds areas are undergoing a little shuffling and reassessment over the next little while. Expect some minor area layout tweaks, room description upgrades, and new critters showing up, ultimately resulting in a wider and better spread of skill ranges amongst the nethrim there.

Monks requesting tasks from Mistral Lake may now be sent to the Ashdell infirmary to heal wounded.

Sweaters will now provide extra warmth when calcutating cold weather resistances.

The Corvus Communal Kitchen has been having a lot of business lately, as such Winston has procured more cooking tools and ingredients which can now be purchased there.

A communal kitchen and shop has been added to Haiban by the north footbridge, near the infirmary.

New jars of cooking ingredients can be found in most Hamlets, and the Mistral Lake and Haiban communal kitchens.

Only one ESP tuning crystal will wear out at a time if you have multiples of the same color attached.

Hydro Aid should no longer cause targets to stay drenched, as the conjured water dissipates.

The Shadgard General Store now has a cooking supplies and consumables department, to which all food items have been moved. Granola bars and trail mix have been added as trail food options. Hard candies also available!

Canim should no longer attack with "clawed claws".

Smelting raw ore now produces a single 4 pound standard bar of ore per chunk in the furnace. These bars can be adjusted to desired weights by further smelting or cutting.

Barrage will no longer continuously attempt to hurl when it can't find a target.

Potted plants and herb boxes will now grow while on a surface such as a table or counter.

It is now possible to break sticks and small branches into kindling with one's bare hands. It's just more time-consuming than using an axe or hatchet to chop.

New tone: Urgent

New speech: Urge

The "gray" and "white" hair color options are now restricted in character creation to characters who choose to be "past the prime of life" or older. It was never intended for any race besides Rhuidim to have young people with gray or white hair.

Utasa now have the Disarm and Feint ability along with a few new guild items.

In response to many bug reports, the HELP information for GATHER has been updated to show the proper syntax to gather hurled objects which is GATHER HURLED.

New verbs : wrinkle, sob, prop, tremble, embrace(need to be friends to work!) and puzzle -(more are coming!)

Storytelling now works in Ashdell.

When fired ammunition becomes lodged into a target's body, the target should now receive a message indicating such.

It is no longer possible to fire stones with a bow when the stone is held in hand.

Attempting to flee in a room with no obvious exits should no longer produce an error.

Holsters sold in Haiban are now considered small items instead of large.

Furniture sold at Mistral Lake is no longer small enough to fit into a backpack.

The guards of Tarueka should now be far less threatening, as their scavenged gear is now appropriately heavily-damaged and thus less effective.

New speech : persist, offer, decide, insist, promise and repeat

New tones: persistent, uncertain, sly, shy, reluctant, stiff, broken, prim, bland and proud

Most aimed offense spells can now be cast through arrow slits and similar.

It is no longer possible to lie on items in a room while remaining hidden.

It is now possible to nod quickly and curtly, sympathetically, emphatically, and politely. Type help nod for more options.

The following areas have updated tree types: Abneridge Foothills

The Grizzly Den inn at Dwaedn Vil now has rooms for rent. Dwaedn Wyr get a discount!

The Shattered Pumpkin Inn at Mistral Lake now has rooms for rent. No discounts. Hah!

Towel racks are now a thing, and have been placed at the Shadgard church washing font area as well as all three bathing areas of the Shadgard bathhouse.

Rook animates can no longer teach skills to others.

A few denizens in the Whispering Woods have been fixed so that they may now be looked at without errors. They have also been been slightly changed to be more lore friendly.

New Tones : neutral, patient, glum

Skill adjustment for scaling task creatures (such as task highwaymen) should now be much fairer.

There will sometimes be fewer highwaymen spawned for highwayman tasks, instead of always spawning two and three at mid and high skill levels.

A few additional types of highwaymen can now spawn for highwaymen tasks. They're not as well-equipped as the original ones.

It is now possible to place foraged items directly to the ground by including "ground" at the end of the command. For example: forage branch ground

It is now possible to carve wooden spears from large branches. They're not as effective as metal- or stone-headed spears, but they can be used in a pinch (and for spearfishing).

It is no longer possible to chop deadwood logs into split logs.

It is now possible to enter multiple permit areas at once and retain separate timers for each one.

The "You realize your hour is up." permit area expiration notice has been made a bit more clear to which permit area's timer has expired.

The effects command will now show how much time is remaining for each permit area you have access to.

Permits are no longer required to enter work areas. You will now be charged 25 riln upon attempting to enter and granted access for 2 chimes. You will be prompted by confirming your choice by entering the direction a second time.

Work area timers are now based on real time and will continue to run down even if your character is not logged into the server.

It is now possible to pay to extend your time while in a work area.

The aid command's targetting has been improved to accept arguments like "aid other bloodhound" or "aid 3 puppy".

The Corvus Outpost now has rumors of its own. Check out the local hubs in Corvus to eavesdrop on the latest gossip.

Users of Rasui's Cryosorcerous Disc should no longer suffer concussion damage to their arms when blocking heavy weapon blows with the discs.

A bug causing Rasui's Cryosorcerous Disc to not provide block defense against some ranged projectile attacks has been squashed.

There should no longer be a price discrepancy between appraised storage fee of containers and paid storage fee for containers.

The inn rooms at the Brawler's Retreat are now available for rent.

After decades of silence, tolling bells and chimes once again emanate from the Vatnfjall Ruins.

A rotating limited quantity stock of imported goods will be added to the Haiban Imports and Supply shop on occassion. These will not be announced, so be sure to check frequently.

The Haiban Wood Reserve area is now open to members of the Artisan guild.

Haiban and related areas such as the Haiban Wood Reserve now share the same weather data as Southern Wetlands and Shroomwood. Expect chills and foggy mornings during the winter season.

Artisans will now gain guild points for completing most above-average crafts.

The ghouls in Thaelsh now have the "ghoul" AI instead of being brawling masters.

Knights Templar have a new guild officer and trainers stationed in Shadgard.

You can now skin and cook the legs from frogs.

Forging arrowheads now produces two arrowheads instead of one.

Firearms now degrade a little on each firing. The more damaged a firearm, the more likely it is to misfire.

Healers in infirmaries will now be a little slower to allow PCs a chance to bandage wounds.

The on-foot "charge" has been changed to "tackle." Mounted charge is unchanged.

Tackle, shield charge, and bull rush calculations have been altered to be more fair to the attacker.

NPC Herbalists are tired of people never paying off their full debts, and have thus lowered the debt threshold over which they will deny healing.

Practitioners of pyromancy rejoice! You will now find that fire bolts will have a detrimental effect upon metal armor if you manage to strike the same location repeatedly.

Projectiles composed solely of aeromancy, being virtually invisible, are now far less likely to reveal their casters when used from hiding.

Some just-for-fun showoff spells have been implemented for Elemancers who have mastered an element: sparkfield, waterspiral, aerospiral, and sandspiral. Go ahead and try casting them if you're a master!

Journeyman pyromancers can now cast the Fire Sphere spell; essentially a portable, following campfire that lasts as long as a pyromancy channel is maintained. Usage: cast 106 or cast fire_sphere

Shops will now be able to have per-customer limits on certain items.

It is now possible to signal to others from hiding.

Cave-ins have been fixed.

A well has been added to Ashdell's Town Center.

Dodge penalties while mounted have been reassessed to be a bit less harsh, and the War Riding ability now offers more relief from the penalty.

The following areas have been populated with appropriate trees instead of the default pine: Westbrook

There are now actual tables at all the Shandy Gaff booths and tables.

Jaclyn, an officer of the Wyrvardn, has recently taken up a post at Shadgard. She can be found in the militia barracks.

NPCs will no longer consider attacking non-threatening targets if there are more obvious threats around. (So no more bringing non-warhorse mounts into fights as evasive target fodder.)

Using Aero Jump while hiding will now reveal the hiding location of the caster.

A bug that was allowing characters to regenerate energy when bleeding has been squashed. Bandaged wounds will not prevent energy regeneraiton.

Characters with option 32 (SkillNums) toggled off will no longer see specific numbers with the skills verb.

You no longer need to specify a body part when bandaging another target. Simply bandage (target) will work similar to the way bandage me has been working. The old method still works for more specific bandaging.

With the above change, infirmary healer roundtime has been reduced back to the original 5 seconds.

The occupants of the inner Gaslight Swamp should move around again.

It is now possible to see a list of worn items and what slot they're in by typing inventory slots.

Haurlief of Dwaedn Vil now offers metal weapon and armor repairs.

NPCs now have trouble picking up items while under attack just like PCs do.

The Disarm maneuver now causes the target to be considered "under attack".

A "Justice Office" has been added to Haiban along the north road. Criminals being arrested in Haiban will now be moved to a holding cell in there rather than being mysteriously transported to Shadgard.

A board with wanted posters has been added to the Haiban Justice office.

The wealth command will now properly show riln in open worn containers.

A periodic reminder will now remind players which policy articles have not been read. Once all policy articles have been read, the reminder will no longer display.

No-challenge climbs, such as most stairs and ladders, can now be traversed stealthily while hiding.

The Snowpine Lodge recruiter should be accepting all initiation task items once again.

The status prompt will now indicate when a character is dirty, muddy, or drenched.

Looking at a food item will now show how many bites are left.

The Stave to Staff spell now appropriately converts the durability of the item instead of leaving it more damaged than it should be.

A certain basement in Tarueka should no longer be filling up with swarms of stranded infested hounds.

It is no longer possible to transfer items when under the effect of a spider's webbing.

It is no longer possible to transfer 'hot' items such as charcoal fires or heated bars on anvils.

A number of bugs related to messaging output when improperly using the transfer command from hiding have been fixed. If you still encounter any bugs with transfer, please report them.

You may now target emotes to specific people by prefixing their name with an @ sign. For example: emote smiles at @Rias.
Everyone would see "Jirato smiles at Rias." except for Rias, who would see "Jirato smiles at you."

Your name will be omitted from the beginning of custom emotes if it is specified elsewhere in the emote text.

Master Aeromancers now have access the Aero Dodge ability.

Several immobile potential targets such as nether-plants, slimy infested mounds, etc. should no longer creepily trace projectile flight paths when fired at from hiding.

Group members must now be standing up in order to assist in heaving heavy objects.

Several messages related to stealth actions being noticed have been condensed into a single line, rather than sending the same message again and again for every person who saw the botched attempt.

It is no longer possible to transfer items that require the heave command to move.

The transfer command will now give more specific error output than just saying it can't find the items specified.

It is now possible to heave large logs onto carriages in sawmills.

Being webbed now causes varying levels of defensive penalties rather than a flat very high penalty.

Storebought weapons will no longer appear damaged when new.

Minor Taming will now properly remove the Hibernate effect on a target.

It is no longer possible for Elamancers to maintain more than one Shield Pattern at a time.

Skillgains from a successful tumble are now based on challenge.

Holding an elemancy wand now properly improves elemancy casting accuracy.

Landing off-hand strikes and extra single-weapon strikes now compares attacker combat skill against target combat skill, and as a result will generally be less frequent than before.

Off-hand strikes can now take targets unawares, resulting in defense pushdown similar to ambushing.

Off-hand strikes no longer trigger when in Tactics Parry.

Mount attacks now show what they're attacking with instead of a blank space and exclamation point.

Non-wartrained mounts no longer occasionally attack when their rider attacks.

Alchemical damage taken by nethrim when struck with weapons made from ferrous materials is now based on that strike's initial damage.

The toss command now requires a hand to be free or to have the target item in hand.

Tossing smoke vials no longer grants automatic hiding success - perceptive bystanders now have a chance to trace the hider's movements through the smoke and be aware of their hiding place.

All of the Wind/Water/Sawmills have been updated so you may "pay" while inside them to increase your work time there.

Several varieties of robbers and highwaymen have had their sizes and weights updated, and are now vulnerable to tackles and such.

It is now possible to beachcomb on beaches.

Guild dues have been added for the Artisans of the Western Coalition. You may check your dues status with the guild command and use the pay command in the presence of Master Artisan Lock, Master Artisan Manny, or the Artisan Jashon to pay your dues. Certain guild facilities and perks will only be available to those current with their dues.

Joining the Artisans of the Western Coalition will now include the first thirty days of guild dues.

Guild-only trainers will now only train members who are current with their guild dues.

Guild-only shops will now only sell wares to members that are current with their guild dues.

Coalition-owned workyards will now grant a 10 riln discount to Artisans who are current with their guild dues.

Aero Shield and Water Shield no longer deflect firearms ammunition.

It is no longer possible to dual-wield chained weapons or whips.

Watering bucket weights will now correctly reset after watering a field.

Stable notice parchments should now properly reduce to ash when burned.

Third-person messaging for forging, tanning, and leatherworking will now only show when beginning, resuming, or finishing a product.

The final messaging when completing a leatherworking product has been reduced somewhat.

A new material, riversteel, has been released in limited quantity.

Checking a bank vault will now show weapons stored in weapon-specific containers.

A trash bin has been added to the Haiban Post Office.

Group leaders can now group remove or group eject a member to kick them out of the group. (Mean!)

The typo command can now be used as an alias for "bug TYPO: ".

Sending anonymous NPCmail now produces messaging that properly indicates it was sent anonymously, and also now charges an extra 10 riln.

The outfit command is now live. Only use it in places with furniture or other typically-stationary storage (trunks, chests, etc.).

It is now possible to list items in a shop and examine individual items before buying them while your hands are full.

It is now possible to look in [container] list to see the container contents in list form instead of a comma-separated sentence.

It is no longer possible to transfer items out of donation crates or wilderness food crates. Remember to leave some for others!

It is now possible to empty a barrel that has water in it and is on the ground.
The lore compels me!

New Features:
- Ability Generalization has been released. Check the new ability command for details. Note that some abilities will remain guild-specific and can still be acquired through the old method of asking a guild master NPC.
- Some entrepreneurial private ferries are now available as paid immediate transport into/out of Mistral Lake.
- You will now receive a notice of the last time your character was active on login (based on time of logout/disconnect).
- Critters will now retain their description on death, and we now have the ability to give critters unique death descriptions.
- The new battlegrounds command will allow you to join the OOC battlegrounds without interrupting any mentors mentoring new players.


Abilities:
- The six Artisan Leatherworking and Blacksmithing abilities have been combined into two single abilities, one for each.
- The following Artisan abilities been removed: Appraisal Specialist, Apprentice/Journeyman/Master Farmer/Fisher, Shopkeeper
- The Artisan ability Merchant's Etye now grants the bonuses the Appraisal Specialist granted (in addition to pickpocket detection bonuses).
- All flat skill gains have been removed from Artisan abilities.
- It is now possible to skin without Skinning Focus, though quality will be bad and skill won't be gained beyond 50.
- Knowing Bushcraft Basics raises the possible quality of skins without Skinning Focus, but they won't be above average quality without Skinning Focus.


Bug fixes:
- Anonymously sending mail no longer sends extra output as if there was a syntax error.
- Joining the Mercenaries or Artisans guilds will no longer instantly make you a trusted ally of Haiban.

Features:
- It is now possible to sort through the tone and speech lists by specifying a second argument when typing tone list or speech list. For example, tone list ab will show only tones beginning with the letters 'ab'.
- It is now possible to start your emote with an apostrophe and an s (or simply an apostrophe if your name ends in an s) and have it display correctly.
- A playtime tracker has been added and can be viewed with the playtime command.
- The profile command has been updated to include optional playtime statistics.
- The friends command now allows you to set different levels of friendship with the friends promote and friends demote subcommands.

- Guild ranks and promotion points are no longer visible through the guild command and are considered mostly obsolete now. Look for opportunities to advance within your guild through IC interaction and roleplay.
- Joining the Elemancers guild now includes the first month of tuition.
- The hyperfocus cooldown has been significantly increased.
- Falling unconscious while hiding, if not already prone, will cause you to be revealed from hiding.
- It is no longer possible to hear people talking in the room around you or whispering to you while unconscious.
- The profile command can now be used on yourself to preview your profile even when it is not set to public.
- The Rook Parlour is now is an invite only guild. Initiation can be performed by other players in good standing with the Parlour or by other major characters in that faction. To do this use the guild initiation (target) command.

Story/Areas:
- The Concord has returned for more infested fighting goodness.
- A new path has been discovered up to the University during troubling times.
- A new hunting/mining area has been released some where near Mistral Lake.


Guilds:
- The Harbingers of Aranas guild receieved some updates.


Abilities:
- The Brotherhood of the Fist and Utasa disarm abilities have been removed and had their points refunded, please take the generalized Disarm ability instead if you previously had one of these.
- The new Brawling Focus generalized ability is required to perform advanced brawling combos and disarm without a weapon.


Bug Fixes:
- Hand-made quivers are now functional containers.
- Fixed a bug where Guerilla tactics wasn't correctly granting a bonus to avoiding engagement.
- Infested Diggers, Brigands, Laborers and more have been adjusted to be tacklable once again.
- Changes have been made to several rooms in the tutorial to fix some old links with more to come in the future.


Tweaks:
- Dirks have been modified to be more in line with their description.
- Brawling combos are no longer dependant on the Two-Weapon Combat skill.
- Revisions have been made to the treasure system to improve some of the loot you will find.

Features:
- You may now steep bags of tea (Sold in places where tea is sold!) in teapots. More to come with this command and others like it in the future.
- Crossbows are now a functional weapon in the game. The actual method to acquire one will be an IC secret. Details will intentionally be kept vague but these now use a new weapon mechanic. Expect further balance tweaks in the future.


Abilities:
- Updated OOC information for the following abilities. No actual changes to the abilities were made, this was purely informational:
Archery: Rapid Fire, Archery: Rapid Volley, Blacksmithing, Bushcraft: Basics


Bug Fixes:
- Added a check in the heave verb to ensure that there is a valid cart or carriage in the room when heaving logs.
- Added some extra error handling to the heave verb that should prevent items from disappearing even if the verb fails.
- Tea bags will no longer show a liquid description when examining them or buying them from a shop.
- It is no longer possible to sell the contents of a closed container (such as a locked lockbox) at the market.
- It is now possible to repair riversteel as was always intended.
- Skins produced from prairie wolves will now properly be labeled as coyote pelts rather than dog pelts.
- Skins produced from prairie dogs will now be labeled as squirrel pelts rather than rat pelts.
- Over 430 unique humanoid critters have had their weights/sizes updated to properly be tackle-able in our critter repository. This will affect newly spawned critters only so older critters may still be the improper size until killed and respawned.
- Study time shown when typing skill category favorites should now properly reflect hours, minutes, or seconds.


Tweaks:
- There is now a 5 second roundtime when changing outfits with the outfit command.
- The rudis weapon type is now classified as a "light sword" and is compatible with swashbuckling.
- Sigh has been updated and given several styles.
- Shrug has been updated and given several styles.
- Several restrictions have been placed on the tumble ability during combat and can be viewed at http://clok.contrarium.net/index.php?title=Tumble
- Arrows, shot, and hurled weapons will now stay on the ground significantly longer before being janitored.
- It is now possible to pre-emptively bandage a moderate but non-bleeding wound with a poulticed bandage with a poultice strength storng enough to heal bleeding wounds.
- The way some guns work with the engage position has been changed. Expect shorter weapons to fire from point blank, while longer weapons will not. Reloading still requires the ranged/avoid position.
- The crude spears used by infested river dwellers have had their quality decreased.
- GM announcements now use the magenta bold color code.
- GMs who are explicitly marked as "On-Duty" will now show up on the WHO list and be able to receive tells regardless of their "stealth" status.
- The minimum item price used in calculating the total repair cost of an NPC repair has been increased, as some items were sold or priced far too little under their intended value.
- The friend command will now show people who are online and have friended you.

- A variety of commands and mechanics that involve removing or adding items from containers now properly recalculate container weight.
- Corrected a bug where being under the groinkick effect was reducing channeling to 0 but wasn't actually preventing/stopping channeling.


Tweaks:
- It is no longer possible to brawl while on horseback.
- Bodices are now worn in the vest slot rather than the shirt slot.
- It is no longer possible to gain dodge or shield skill while in an offensive tactic.
- Beckon is no longer an alias for recruit.
- The Dirty Tricks tactic is now properly considered a neutral tactic and is compatible with any abilities requiring a non-defensive tactic.


Bug Fixes:
- Fixed a misspelling in a Stirling Ford room description.
- Crossbow bolts will no longer disappear when improperly loaded. They will now fumble to the ground.


Miscellany:
- Several high-usage commands have been moved over to a new type of command system that that handles parsing and execution of commands more efficiently. Please keep an eye out for any oddities with the following commands and their aliases: look, north, northeast, east, southeast, south, southwest, west, northwest, up, down, out, go, chat, question, say, and attack.

Features/Additions:
- Crossbows can now be repaired at The Straight Arrow in Mistral Lake. Expect further tweaks to crossbow durability and methods of repair.


Abilities:
- It is no longer possible to use hyperfocus while in a state of fury, frenzy, or rage.
- It is now possible to toggle automatic tumbling with the tumble ability by using the command tumble toggle.


Tweaks:
- Mummer guild abilities now have rep requirements as they aren't linked to skills
- Fell and Hunt have been tweaked to bring them into line with the new Gaea System
- All druid abilities have been tweaked to also work with the new Gaea System (Though you may not readily notice)
- It is no longer possible to perform advanced brawling maneuvers while also maintaining an active magic channel outside of Claw of Shar.
- People with option Queue (8) on will now see the "Queueing the following command: " line on the same line that says "Wait X seconds."
- People with option AutoReminders (27) off will no longer see the "(You may clear your command queue at any time.)" message.
- GM announcements have been re-rainbowified.
- Cultivate tasks now give gains to druidry when completed.


Bug Fixes:
- Thieves guild has had several bug fixes, but they are secret so SHHH!
- Steeping teas is now 45% less lethal! (fixed a wierd filling error that sometimes killed players)
- The line showing how many total achievements you are eligible for with the achievements command no longer includes achievements for guilds that you are not in.
- PCs who have their names changed should now properly be saved under the correct name and should be able to receive tells under the new name.
- Attempting an action that requires roundtime while performing automatic actions such as battling or crafting will now properly clear the automatic action.
- The mount inactivity timer will now reset if you are present in the same room as your mount even if you're not interacting with it, this should prevent cases where your horses could get grabbed even when you were with them because you had not mounted in a very long time.


Miscellany:
- Lots of fun and exciting behind the scenes secret stuff happened this week in preparation for new/ongoing events and fun things like that!

Features/Additions:
- Added magical cantrip support via the cast cantrip command (Patreon reward, purely cosmetic).
- Rentable by the day workshops have been released. You may only rent one workshop at a time, but may rent both a workshop and inn room at the same time.
- Druids may now sense while channeling druidry in order to gain some insight into the Gaea well being in an area. Some people may be better at sensing than others.
- A new guild has arrived! The Lorekeepers of Atros and Madrim! This is an RP to enter guild, but will offer all things Druid! More write-ups for the wiki and things coming soon.


Area Releases:
- North Haiban has been released! Most of the guild facilities and a few shops and business will be moving there.
- Artisans now have a mega headquarters in North Haiban.
- Several new shops will be released in South Haiban.

- A major bug has been squashed that allowed many actions to not accurately measure a characters true armor level. A few of these include tumble and the armor command.

- It is no longer possible to pull bellows and work a smelting furnace while loitering in a workyard.
- It is no longer to repair on an anvil or leatherworking table while loitering in a workyard.
- Fixed a bug where the prevention system for work in unpaid rooms wouldn't account for the additional forge and tanning areas in Haiban North.
- Performing an action that requires you to be out of roundtime will now properly stop automatic lapidary actions.
- Fixed a rare bug that would cause auto-battle to fail while brawling.

- Leatherworkers with sufficient skill will now be able to tell when an item is degraded as a result of their repairs without having to examine it afterwards.
- The display cases sold in Haiban have been changed to allow you to place items inside of them instead of on them, are now closeable, and can be looked inside of even when closed. If you have previously purchased a display case and would like it updated, please send us a REQUEST while in your home with the display case.
- The count command can now target containers not worn on your person by using the syntax count (item) in (container).


Area Releases:
- The Mistral Lake Town Hall has been renamed Mistral Lake Citizen Services.
- The Mistral Lake Citizen Services hall now has a citizenship office. It's through the door in the lobby.


Bug Fixes:
- Diaphanous shades in the graveyard near Mistral Lake now have much lower energy levels, on par with other nethrim shades.
- Fixed a bug where the message that an item has been degraded as a result of repairs was in the leatherworking code but was checking blacksmith abilities (only to determine if the message was being seen or not).
- Guilds should no longer be sending people to Keth for tasks.
- The 'riding a (mount name)' message in room occupants will now correctly use 'an' instead of 'a' if the mount name begins with a vowel.
- The colors 'sage-green' and 'celadon' have been moved to the green category in the ESP color lists based off of their RGB values containing more green than blue.
- The infested miners in the abandoned mine now properly light the lanterns and move around instead of all gathering in one dark room.
- The price when initially renting a workshop or inn room that you qualify for a discount with will now show the discounted price instead of the base price.
- Fixed a typo with Chant: Clarity.
- Added some self-correcting code to automatically correct the size of any container items if their allowable in-container size is larger than the item itself upon order or examine (such as the carryalls in the Mistral Lake bag shop).
- Added base prices to dozens of customizable shop items throughout the world.
- The Preemptive Guardian ability can again be toggled with guard preempt.
- Corrected a typo when playing with swingsets.
- When tasked to drive off highwaymen and letting your task expire, you will now be notified via the task command.
- The commune presence commune option now works as intended.


Miscellany:
- Locksmiths will no longer copy keys instantly upon request, but will instead direct you to mail them the key with proof of ownership, which will need to be acquired ICly before a key may be copied.

Features/Additions:
- A new item type, horse brushes, has been created. You can brush a friendly mount with one of these.
- Charmseeking has been enabled, and the recent charm-seekers list now resets daily so that people can charmseek daily for the remainder of Octum. Unlike last year, you will now need a costume to go charm-seeking.


Area:
- The following areas now have dynamic weather: Haiban North, Tse Gaiyan Valley, Tse Gaiyan Chapterhouse, Vaelgratn Forest


Bug Fixes:
- Fixed a bug that was allow the transfer command to bypass container weight limitations.
- Druidic roots will no longer be able to grab a hold of non-corporeal entities.
- NPC Rook Soul Retreivals will now properly work.
- Donating riln at the Poor Box in Shadgard now properly deducts riln from your person and records the amount donated.
- Pheasant meat now sells at markets.
- Costumes will again show in the room occupants list.
- Weapons that have their max durability automatically increased upon examine will now also include a free instant repair.
- BBS Feed messages will now properly display ampersands.
- Is it again possible to apply perfume from a bottle.
- FIxed a bug when knocking on the door to the Thaelsh tunnels.
- Fixed a bug causing the charmseek command to crash.


Critters:
- Infested troglodytes are no longer absurdly perceptive.
- Several infested have had their gear quality/repair lowered to various degrees.
- A whole slew of critters have had their sizes and weights updated.


Miscellany:
- A few skills can no longer be used to work off a death penalty. The skills involved require little effort and have no challenge.
- Costumes will now show on most arrival messages.
- Estocs can now be wielded with one or two hands and are no longer considered "light swords".
- Footwraps are now worn in the 'socks' slot rather than the 'shoes' slot, allowing them to be worn under shoes if so desired.
- Limited quantity items that are sold out in shops will now remain on the item lists, shown as "SOLD OUT", until explicitly removed by a GM for easier restocking.
- It is now possible to use the QUESTION channel when dead. Note that this should be for OOC questions only, misuse for IC coordination of corpse retrieval will be dealt with severely.

Features/Additions:
- A new item type, eyepatches, has been introduced. These conflict with glasses and are hidden by full face masks and greathelms. When wearing an eyepatch, you will suffer a slight penalty to your perception rolls.


Bug Fixes:
- The following actions now break being guarded: Assassinate, Bull Rush, Choke, Coup De Mort, Cutthroat, Disarm, Eye Gouge, Feint, Footstomp, Hamstring, Kidney Shot, Mighty Throw, Sap, Shadow Step, Shield Charge, Tackle, Trample, and Trip
- All viced weapons from this point forward should now have the proper noun in their item descriptions. This is not a retroactive change.
- Fixed a bug where the penalty based on player mine size wasn't being applied correctly.
- Fixed a bug where there was a lower than intended chance of cave-ins when mining in a player mine if mine supports were installed and you didn't have the Master Mining ability.
- Horses will no longer fit inside the Haiban Justice Office. [Bug ID: 12763, 12557]
- The third person messaging for the speech setting "clarify" will now properly say "clarifies". [Bug ID: 12761, 11940]
- The disco ball in the OOC battlegrounds is now floating rather than foating. [Bug ID: 12759, 12711]
- The remove command now uses the standard item finding code for worn items so that things such as "remove belt powderhorn" will target the powderhorn rather than the belt. [Bug ID: 12758]
- Corrected an instance where powderhorns wouldn't be discarded when empty in the load command. [Bug ID: 12758]
- The dandy brush sold in the Haiban stables has had a typo correction. Also, I had no idea these existed and totally re-invented them a couple weeks ago, whoops. [Bug ID: 12754]
- The vice command now has the same prevents as the forge command (most notably, can't use while mounted). [Bug ID: 12750]
- It is no longer possible to use the jewelrycraft command while loitering in a permit area. [Bug ID: 12751, 11572]
- It is no longer possible to ask an NPC for training, teach accept, or study a skillbook while suffering the effects of a depart penalty or ASP. [Bug ID: 12749, 12530, 12518, 12376, 12169, 8919, 8550]
- The staffs skill has been renamed "staves". [Bug ID: 12393]
- A certain thief perk has been restored to the full functionality that the old ability once had. [Bug ID: 11906]
- The items for sale at the Wicked Skullduggery shop at the Octum Festival no longer require customization. [Bug ID: 12743, 12741]
- It is no longer possible to avoid combat engagement when dragging or pulling something. [Bug ID: 12748]
- A variety of prevent actions have been added to the disarm command including dragging and pulling. [Bug ID: 12050]
- Being unconscious or comatose now cancels dragging and pulling. [Bug ID: 9193]
- Fixed a bug where an attacker could be in a constant "dirty fighting" state, allowing them to perform all dirty tricks with 0 roundtime and during roundtime. [Bug ID: 12764]

- A battle-scarred mercenary has been seen hanging around under the old Mistral Lake guardhouse arch. She probably wouldn't mind making a little riln by teaching people what she knows about combat. (Armor, Melee, Brawling, Hafted, Shields)
- A used-jar bin has been added to the communal kitchen in Haiban.
- The communal kitchen in Haiban is no longer janitor-proof.
- Imported goods in the Haiban communal kitchen no longer have per-person quantity limits.


Bug Fixes:

Areas:
- Thaelsh sub-areas have been renamed to be more specific and less easily confused for one another.
- The abandoned Thaelsh Temple is now completely dark. Bring a light source!
- A few portals in the Thaelsh Temple have been replaced by directional exits and vice-versa, but no rooms have been removed.
- There is no longer a trail to the Desert of Desolation at Red Lake. This is a retcon.
- A trail to the Eidhmorh Salt Flats area has been added in the mountains southwest of Shadgard in the Dry Prairie region. This leads to a new Desert of Desolation (which is no longer a maze) and on to the Obsidian Crags, which remains unchanged. The moving of these areas from their old location in Stone Canyon should be considered a retcon.


Towns:
- Several homes now appropriately do not allow mounts inside.
- Margo's Bakery of Shadgard has greatly expanded its menu, and now has chairs and tables.
- The crossbow bolts sold at Mistral Lake are now made of iron.
- Elric's Attire of Shadgard now sells customizable hats and underpants.


Bug Fixes:
- Pulling a concealed keyring out will now properly show the item name in the third party messaging. [Bug ID 12811, 12398, 11954]
- It was recently discovered that when Haiban North was built, all the mounts that were in the Haiban south stables were duplicated into the Artisan compound stables. These have since been removed. If you are looking for a mount in the Artisan Compound and can't find it, check the stables in Haiban South.
- Fixed a bug that was causing the Mummer ability Mind Fog to always succeed.
- Fixed an issue preventing crop growth in realms that had no player characters present.


Critters:
- Someone forgot to update drakolins' perception along with their combat abilities when they were upgraded a while back, but that's fixed now.
- Fixed an issue that was causing some corpses to decay more quickly than intended.


Miscellany:
- Several silver stoves have been converted to more appropriate materials, because silver stoves.
- It is no longer possible to disarm shields.
- Wooden blocks will no longer be janitored.

- The Shadgard Graveyard area (the actual graveyard proper) has undergone a slight descriptions facelift.
- A few updates to the Ebon Pass area -- stay tuned!


Towns:
- Mistral Lake: Several buildings can now be exited by simply going out.
- Mistral Lake: The Smoke and Steam teahouse is now entered via "teahouse" instead of "domicile". The room description has been altered accordingly.
- Mistral Lake: The Leather Shoppe is now entered via "tannery" instead of "building". The room escription has been updated accordingly.


Bug Fixes:
- Fixed an error when attempting to pull a handcart that was already being pulled [Bug ID 13136]
- Using the EMPTY command will now appropriately update source and target container weights. [Bug ID 13139]
- Fixed a bug preventing skill gain and guild point gain on mounted characters when their mount attacks during the same turn as them. [Bug ID 13091]


Miscellany:
- it is now possible to combine multiple bloodglass bars in a furnace to create a larger size bar.
- New Guru for Tse Gaiyan.
- It is no longer possible to determine if someone is online via the profile command if their profile isn't set to public.
